About This Seb Dining Table
Wire-brushing a timber surface removes the soft early-growth grain and leaves the harder late-growth grain raised. The result is a texture you can feel, which is what distressed finishes are supposed to produce but rarely do when the process stops at staining alone. On solid acacia, wire-brushing works cleanly because the grain contrast between early and late growth is significant enough to produce real surface depth. The honey finish then sits in the recessed grain lines, darkening them and making the pattern legible.
Acacia is one of the harder domestic hardwoods in regular furniture use. At mid-century proportions (clean-lined legs, slightly lower profile), the construction doesn't require the heavy apron typical of period dining tables to maintain rigidity. The joint geometry does it. This one pairs with most acacia or upholstered chairs at standard 45 cm seat height and 76 cm table height clearance.

Every piece is also covered by lifetime termite protection, a 3-step chemical treatment applied during manufacturing at our Ratangarh factory. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, water submersion, or unauthorised modifications.
