About This Sieraa Hathi Storage Coffee Table
Sierra Hathi Storage Coffee Table in solid Sheesham. Hand-carved elephant panels on the front, turned legs, lift-top that opens to a full interior storage compartment. 80 x 50 x 42 cm.
A coffee table that stores things is a reasonable idea. Most of them execute it badly: the lid is too heavy to open with one hand, or the hinge fails within two years, or the storage cavity is too shallow to hold anything larger than a magazine. This one opens to a full-depth interior, and the lift mechanism is balanced well enough that you can open it without the table sliding on a smooth floor. The Sheesham frame handles the weight of people occasionally sitting on it (which happens, regardless of what the piece was designed for). The elephant carvings are hand-done, which means they catch light at angles that machine-pressed patterns don't.

All Mamta Handicraft furniture carries a 36-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Every piece is also covered by lifetime termite protection, a 3-step chemical treatment applied during manufacturing at our Ratangarh factory. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, water submersion, or unauthorised modifications.
