About This Spain Teak Wood Bed Side End Table
1One drawer, one open shelf, and the split is the right one for a bedside. The drawer takes what you want out of sight — chargers, medicines, reading glasses — and the open shelf takes what you reach for in the dark without looking, like a book or the phone you put down last thing at night. A bedside with two drawers makes you open one to find anything; a bedside with no drawer ends up with a cluttered top.
The drawer interior measures 42 x 32 x 11.5 cm, which is deep enough for a folded charger cable, a small torch, and a paperback lying flat, without being so deep that things disappear at the back. The sides are frame-and-panel, each panel floating in a groove so the teak can move with the season instead of splitting. The top overhangs the frame on all sides with a moulded edge, which gives a lamp base a little more room than the footprint suggests.
At 61 cm tall, the top sits level with or just above a standard mattress on most beds, so you are reaching sideways rather than down.

Apply a thin coat of raw linseed oil or furniture oil once every 12 to 18 months if the surface looks dry. Sheesham and Teak contain natural oils and do not require heavy chemical maintenance.
