The rounded corners on this table are a functional choice. Sharp corners at table height are a consistent minor injury risk in a family dining room where adults and children move past the table several times every meal. Rounded corners reduce that risk without losing any usable surface area. The spindle-back chairs match: spindle backs distribute pressure across multiple vertical contacts rather than relying on a single horizontal rail, which is more comfortable over long meals and structurally more stable when someone leans sideways.
Solid wood construction means the rounded corner is the same material all the way through. An MDF-core table with a rounded corner has a veneer edge at the curve. That veneer lifts at the glue line under humidity cycling. Here there's nothing to lift. Tables arrive pre-assembled. Chairs are flat-packed for safe transport and require bolt-in leg assembly, approximately 10 to 15 minutes per chair with a spanner. No tools beyond a spanner are required.

Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth for daily cleaning. Avoid standing water and direct sunlight for extended periods. Apply a thin coat of raw linseed oil or furniture oil once every 12 to 18 months if the surface looks dry. Sheesham and Teak contain natural oils and do not require heavy chemical maintenance.

Every piece is also covered by lifetime termite protection, a 3-step chemical treatment applied during manufacturing at our Ratangarh factory. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, water submersion, or unauthorised modifications.
