This table was designed with soft-rounded edges at each corner, which is a small change that makes a real difference in daily use.
The construction is solid wood throughout, which means the rounded corner is the same material all the way to the edge. A veneer-topped table with a rounded corner has a glue joint at the edge, which opens under repeated humidity cycling. The solid-wood edge doesn't have that weakness. This makes a rounded corner on a solid-wood table more durable than the same profile on a veneer surface.
