Rattan doors on a media unit solve something solid doors can't: the remote works with the cabinet closed. Infrared passes through handwoven cane. Your set-top box stays inside, out of sight, and still responds normally.
Mango wood gives this unit the structural density to hold the rattan panels taut over time. On cheaper frames, the door structure pulls out of square within a few years as the cane tension works against the joints. Cable management holes are cut through the back panel so the wiring stays behind the cabinet face rather than trailing across the surface. The arched door profile is the Valencia signature — each panel is woven by hand, so the weave has slight natural variation rather than the uniform pressed look of machine-made rattan.
