Hydraulic storage beds are common. Hydraulic storage beds where the lift mechanism still works smoothly after three years of daily use are not. The difference is the weight rating of the gas cylinder and the quality of the hinge hardware. This one uses a rated cylinder designed for the combined weight of a solid wood platform and mattress. The base doesn't strain on the way up.
The rattan headboard is hand-woven and mounted on a solid mango wood frame. The frame carries the hydraulic mechanism underneath, which means the hinge mounts into mango rather than the MDF-with-metal-bracket construction common in lower-price storage beds. MDF at the hinge point compresses over time. Mango doesn't.

This bed is designed for a standard Indian mattress. Standard queen size is 150 x 195 cm, king size is 180 x 195 cm, and double size is 120 x 190 cm. Always verify the internal frame dimensions in the specifications above before purchasing a mattress, as usable dimensions include a 2 to 3 cm tolerance.

Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth for daily cleaning. Avoid standing water and direct sunlight for extended periods. Apply a thin coat of raw linseed oil or furniture oil once every 12 to 18 months if the surface looks dry. Sheesham and Teak contain natural oils and do not require heavy chemical maintenance.

Every piece is also covered by lifetime termite protection, a 3-step chemical treatment applied during manufacturing at our Ratangarh factory. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, water submersion, or unauthorised modifications.
