Oval back chairs have a specific visual function: the rounded backrest softens the strong horizontal lines of a rectangular dining table and the vertical lines of a room with windows or doors behind the dining area. At L 18 x W 18 x H 35.5 in (46 x 46 x 90 cm), the back height is tall enough to provide genuine upper-back support for adults without the backrest overhanging the tabletop when the chair is pushed in.
The rattan oval is hand-woven onto a mango wood surround. Hand-woven rattan stays three-dimensional because each strand is continuous and interlocked at the crossing points. Machine-pressed cane-pattern sheets are flat and lose their surface texture over two to three years of use. The mango wood frame handles the combination of humid dining environments and daily load cycling without the leg joints developing looseness, which is the primary failure mode in cheaper frame materials at this price point.

All dining chairs in our range sit at a standard 43 to 45 cm seat height, which pairs correctly with any 75 to 76 cm height dining table. Measure your existing table height to confirm compatibility.
Solid wood legs can mark polished marble or tile floors without protection. Rubber or felt floor pads (not included) on all legs are recommended. These are available at any hardware store.
This product is made to order by our artisans in Ratangarh, Rajasthan. Orders are dispatched within 7 to 10 business days. Delivery across India takes an additional 7 to 10 business days after dispatch.
Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth for daily cleaning. Avoid standing water and direct sunlight for extended periods. Apply a thin coat of raw linseed oil or furniture oil once every 12 to 18 months if the surface looks dry. Sheesham and Teak contain natural oils and do not require heavy chemical maintenance.

Every piece is also covered by lifetime termite protection, a 3-step chemical treatment applied during manufacturing at our Ratangarh factory. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, water submersion, or unauthorised modifications.
