"Mid-century modern" as a label covers a wide range of quality. The common failure mode: a platform bed with tapered legs in a finish that looks right for six months, then starts showing wear at the edges and joints. Sheesham holds a dark finish because the wood is dense enough that the stain penetrates the grain rather than sitting on the surface.
The rattan headboard panel is hand-woven and sits in a Sheesham frame. Sheesham's natural oils (Dalbergia sissoo contains these oils in the wood fibre itself) give the wood inherent moisture resistance, which matters in a headboard that faces a window in most bedroom layouts. The rattan itself needs only occasional dusting. It doesn't need oiling.
