Both are the same solid teak wood — only the finish differs. Natural Teak is a lighter honey tone that shows the grain more openly and suits bright, neutral rooms. Walnut Teak is a deeper brown that reads richer and pairs better with darker flooring and warmer palettes. Grain pattern and construction are identical.

The mattress platform lifts from the foot end on two gas struts. Light upward pressure raises it, and the struts hold it open on their own while you load or unload, then lower it in a controlled way. There is no prop rod to manage.

The compartment runs the full length and width of the bed base, divided down the centre. It comfortably holds quilts, blankets, pillows, suitcases, and off-season clothing. Avoid storing anything damp sealed wooden compartments hold moisture.

No. The bed is supplied as a frame only. We recommend a mattress 15 to 20 cm thick. A heavier or thicker mattress than this makes the hydraulic lift stiffer to raise and lower.

It arrives knock-down for DIY assembly. The headboard, footboard, side boxes, and hydraulic platform bolt together; fittings and instructions are included. Two people are recommended, as the solid teak panels and the storage box are heavy.

It ships disassembled, so the largest single piece is the headboard — 164 cm wide for the Queen, 194 cm for the King, and 112 cm tall. It passes through standard Indian doorways of 90 cm and above when turned on its side.

Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth for daily cleaning. Avoid standing water and direct sunlight for extended periods. Apply a thin coat of raw linseed oil or furniture oil once every 12 to 18 months if the surface looks dry. Sheesham and Teak contain natural oils and do not require heavy chemical maintenance.
