Teak is the right timber for a sofa frame because of the silica in its grain. That silica content is what makes teak dimensionally stable in outdoor humidity exposure, and it's why teak furniture doesn't swell at the joints when left on a covered patio through monsoon season. The Urban set is designed with this in mind: straight lines, wide armrests, and a neutral cushion colour that works outdoors without looking out of place inside. The 3+1+1 arrangement seats five adults with enough spacing between pieces that each seat feels like its own position rather than part of a crowded row.

Yes. Teak (Tectona grandis) contains natural silica and oils that make it inherently weather-resistant. All pieces in our teak outdoor furniture range are additionally treated for UV and moisture resistance before leaving the factory.
Teak weathers well outdoors, gradually developing a silver-grey patina if left untreated. To retain the original golden-brown colour, apply teak oil every 6 to 12 months. Bring cushions indoors during heavy monsoon rain to prevent mildew.
Wipe with a damp cloth to remove surface dust and pollen. Apply teak oil or outdoor wood oil once a year. Scrub with a soft brush and soapy water for deeper cleaning. Avoid high-pressure washing.
Cushion inclusion is noted in the specifications. Outdoor cushions use weather-resistant fabric. Store cushions indoors during extended monsoon periods.

Every piece is also covered by lifetime termite protection, a 3-step chemical treatment applied during manufacturing at our Ratangarh factory. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, water submersion, or unauthorised modifications.
