At 63.5 cm tall, this sits at the right height for beds with platform frames (40 to 50 cm frame height plus 15 to 20 cm mattress depth). The ridged texture is vertical, not horizontal, which makes the drawer faces look taller than they are. The gold-tone legs at this scale are visible and contribute to the look rather than being a detail you notice only on close inspection. Two drawers at this width handle overnight essentials and a charging cable without needing to dig. The matte painted finish keeps fingerprints from showing on the flat panels between the ridges.
